Hair Dye Just For Men doesn't work on my black hair?

Okay basicly i applyed the mixture in my hair and combed it. I waited 5 Minutes just like it said then took a shower. When i get out my hair is still black, it was suppose to be a sandy blonde... I can't tell what i did wrong. If your gonna answer don't say "go to a professional at the salon" because my mom won't let me.

You can't dye black hair without bleaching it first.

The amount of bleach or peroxide that's required to make black hair light enough to dye will cause MASSIVE damage!

Your hair will end up weaker and brittle.You'll be finding strands on your pillow,and clumps of it in your shower drain.

And then you have to dye it.That's a whole new brand of hell that you'll be inflicting on your folicles.

Odds are that when it's all said and done,your hair won't be anywhere near the shade of cool that you first envisioned,and you'll just end up wanting to shave your head to keep from being laughed at.

Trust me...I was a head-banger teen in the 80's,and we all screwed around with hair coloring back then.Luckily for me I'm blond.My hair was much easier to screw around with than alot of other peoples hair was.

Just try a new hair-cut.

Or get a nose ring.

Just don't try to dye black hair.

Just for men is to cover gray not change your hair color. You need to get regular dye... even if it has a woman on the box doesn't mean you can't use it....

first of all your hair is black...just 5 is a temporary color...your hair cannot go to blonde without bleach or a 40 volume developer...there is no oxidizing agent in that hair color that will lift your black hair to blonde...so you will need to try a permanent hair color like clairol or revlon...but be careful...results may vary...Good luck
